Design and Behavioural Insights

CAPABILITY

Human-centric tools and techniques

Consistent application of behavioural insights and design principles are key to developing powerful approaches in my problem-solving and decision-making processes. This is intertwined with my passion for people, and teamwork.

I leverage behavioural economics insights to assist organisations to better understand how individuals make choices and tailor their strategies to positively influence behaviour. I've done this to encourage adoption of habits that contribute to solving the climate crisis; helped identify small business owner's biases to increase their commercial viability; and nudging taxpayers towards practices that make it easier to comply with their obligations.

Combining behavioural insights with design thinking ensures that solutions are not only informed by a deep understanding of human behaviour but are also intuitive, engaging, and well-received by their intended users and stakeholders. This comes into focus when I leverage my design tools such as interviewing, importance matrixes, causal-looping and other innovative facilitation techniques.

This is bolstered by my ability to connect and facilitate people through design processes and communicate recommendations and solutions effectively to clients and stakeholders.

Again, given my work in government and various sensitive setting, there are limited examples I can explicitly share.
